The CricketfilterŽ was developed to combine the advantages of pressure leaf filters and candle filters, but without having their drawbacks. This was achieved by designing filter vessels with a new, patented type of filter element: the unique resemblance to a cricket bat gave it its name. The special shape and configuration offers a number of advantages.
Advantages of the CricketfilterŽ:
Inside drawing of a filter element
very large filtration area per volume: in fact the shape of the filter elements enables the largest possible filtration area with sufficient filter cake space in a given tank volume.
each hanging element has an internal filtrate pipe reaching to the bottom: no solids are deposited in the filter element.
small internal volume of the elements: cake release can be achieved with a minimum of backwash volume
effective dry cake discharge, after complete draining of the CricketfilterŽ, the cake is blown dry with compressed air, steam or gas before the blowback is affected.

Use of the CricketfilterŽ is especially recommended in the following situations:
when large filtration areas are required.
when blinding of the filter medium, cake discharge and downtime are critical.
as a pre-thickener before other filters
a polishing filter for the filtrate from vacuum filters, the overflow from conventional thickeners or centrifuges
